Hersey (2-1) got a JV victory on the road at Elk Grove with a 62-41 win over the Grenadiers. The Huskies led 17-0 after the first quarter and never looked back. Hersey was paced on offense by Griffin Ginder (8 points) and Ryan Gudaitis (8 points).
Hersey (5-1) outlasted the Conant Cougars thanks to a strong 3rd quarter in which they limited the visiting Cougars to just two points. TJ Stearns led the Huskies with 7 points in the win. Each player who played in the game for Hersey scored in the contest.
Hersey (6-1) made a statement on the road in their 6th JV win of the season, beating Rolling Meadows 74-50 in their highest scoring game of the season. Clay Augustyn led the Huskies with 22 points while Alec Naumowicz added 16 and Jack Muglia had 11.
Hersey (7-1) outlasted Wheeling in a hard-fought JV contest in the East Gym. Sophomore Jimmy Makuh led the Huskies with 16 points while junior Ryan Gudaitis sealed the victory with 2 free throws with less than :10 seconds left.
